Who is this Kris guy?

Not too long ago I introduced Dave McCaul (the guy in all the YouTube videos) in a post and got him to answer a few questions so all of you could get to know him a little better.  We have another face on our YouTube channel announcing the winners of the free stuff people are winning for shopping at The House. So who’s that guy? Well, his name is Kris Magnusson, one of the owners, and if you’re curious as to who he is, today is your luck day!

So what’s up Kris, how’s your day? Stressful…got a virus that killed everything on my PC…the upside is that I’m sitting in front of a new Mac

What all do you do here at The House? Try to keep a hand in all aspects of day to day. You could nail me down to Operations if you desire

How long have you been around? It’s a family affair so day one would be true but I really came on board in ’95 when we hit the snowboard market

What’s your favorite food and why? Sushi and Indian, both are such a departure from our mundane fare that I can’t resist it…figure out how to wrap seaweed around lamb saag and I’m there

What’s all on the agenda for the summer? Renting a bobcat and setting up a slopestyle course in my back yard…

What’s the raddest thing you’ve done lately? Raddest?? Hard to say as I’m such a “Rad” guy and all but I’d have to say it was taking my 7 year old, Gus, to Utah for the first time. He rocked it. Two days of powder, plenty of pizza and Star Wars IV, V and VI.  How’s that for Rad?

What’s the dumbest thing you’ve done lately? Answered this questionnaire…or spend some hard earned money on a ’71 Ford F250

Where’s the sickest place you have ever gone snowboarding? And elaborate a little… Would have to be Chamonix, France. It was a while back but we hit ISPO in Frankfurt and trained it to Chamonix. Snow was crap but the scenery and nightlife was insane. There’s nothing like eating a double Americaner burger at 2am to cap off a day of riding in the French Alps. The Euros really know how to rock a resort town.

What’s an interesting little known fact about you? Actually own and have watched the entire Planet of the Apes box set

Can we keep looking forward to these weekly giveaways? And are there any other bigger giveaways on the horizon? We’ll keep mixing it up as we go. I’ve been in contact with some or our vendors and they are coughing up some additional prizes. And yes some are going to be quite hefty
