Jones Solution Split

The 2019 Jones Solution Splitboard is the ultimate splitboard for those looking to take their own line and work for it. This deck’s directional shape features a tapered tail to help this board’s tail sink in the deeper snow while riding, that still offers a nice consistent glide in touring mode. Jones’ Directional Rocker profile offers a large rockered shape in the nose, camber underfoot and a slight rocker in the tail for a board that glides well but still rides like a normal deck when clicked back together. An improved ECO-performance is built into the Solution with its ECO-plastic topsheet made from castor beans. You’ll notice the serrated looking edge on this deck and that is the Magne-Traction. Magne-Traction adds multiple contact points down the running length for an edge that has a better grip and edge hold on hardpack terrain and ice. Lastly, this deck features a Sintered 9900 base for a fast riding base that holds wax like a champ.

Nitro Nomad Split

The Nitro Nomad Split is built on the standard that your split board doesn’t need to be packed full of bells and whistles. A directional shape is complemented by Nitro’s Flat Out camber profile which adds flat zones in the contact points and the center of the deck while adding predominant camber zones under the feet, giving this board a camber dominant profile. Nitro’s Power Rods are added in the guts of this deck to allow this deck to ride great and offer an energetic ride on the way down. A mid-wide waist width offers a little more girth in this deck to help gain some more ground in touring mode and help those with a bigger sized boot. Finished off with a Premium Extruded FH Base that can take a beating and requires low maintenance. The Nitro Nomad hails itself as the most cost-efficient deck on the market and holds true at a price point of only $499.95.

Alongside the edge of this board is a Magne-Traction edge that acts like a serrated bread knife that adds multiple contact points down the running length to give this deck stronger edge hold on icy and slick terrain wherever you may be touring up or riding down. Arbor’s Highland Core makes this deck lively and lightweight in construction while its Knucklehead tip places a reinforced plate to take any hits you may run into in the backcountry. Arbor features it’s Grip-Tech modified edge in this deck which adds a wider waist width area under the binding inserts for a stronger edge hold and more platform for those with some larger boot sizes.
