How To: No-Foot Rodeo Board Transfer

By Published On: January 19th, 20111 Comment

Snowboarding progression is really taking off lately. Just in the last couple of seasons, we’ve added things like triple corks and 360 nosepress oppo out to our video-part vocab, but this is a whole new level of gnar. No foot board transfer combos have been gaining speed in private, pros-only training facilities like the DC Mountain Lab and Area 51, but no one had seen much of it….until now.

Now this mystery shredder has put this clip up on YouTube and people are talking. Is it too late to get him an invite to X Games Best Trick? Tahoe trickster Burne Carraway offers his tips for how he has been trying this maneuver in the foam pit.

1.) First, get stomp pads and place them all over the board you’re going to land on…you’ll need the traction.

2.) Now after you’ve got the speed dialed a few times, hit the jump unstrapped and practice kicking your board away and sliding out on your butt.

3.) When you’re ready, make sure you get a good pop off the lip and simultaneously look over your left shoulder for the rodeo, while you use your back leg to kick the board out.

4.) Kick that board real hard, and don’t try this on a windy day or you could lose a tooth or a finger.

5.) Spot that landing, bend those knees, and stomp it.

6.) MOST IMPORTANT Make sure you try this somewhere that will have girls on the hill, like Bear Mtn, so you can reap the rewards of your conquest.

7.) And don’t tell anyone that I told you how to do this trick, it’s super secret and maybe just a little fake.
