It can be tough to buy sunglasses online because it’s one of those things that to really get a feel for ’em you just need to try them on. So to help you out a little bit, I recruited some models to try on a few pairs of shades so you can get a better idea of what they look like on. I didn’t realize how many sunglasses we actually have until I was looking through to pick out some pairs to shoot, so we’re gonna split this into two posts. Allie and Lindsey were kind enough to step in front of the camera for the ladies, and we’ll see who I can nab for the boys…
Here Allie gives us a wonderful display of the Electric Airheart. These puppies have 100% UVA and UVB protection, an 8 Base wire frame and 8 Base Polycarbonate lens.
My favorites of the bunch were the Oakley Hinder. These guys have a varied field of light transmission (top to bottom) via optional gradient lens shading, ultra-lightweight hi-modules C-5 frame material and Oakley’s patented hydrophilic UNOBTAINIUM nosepads to ensure a snug and secure fit.
These are the Von Zipper Riviera that Allie and her hot manikin man show off so well. These sunglasses feature an impact resistant polycarbonate lens, a nylon grilamid frame and stainless steel optical hinges.
Lindsey showed us what the Oakley Script were all about with their durable and lightweight O Matter frames, optimized peripheral vision and side protection of 8.75 base lens curvature and they’re fashioned uniquely for a feminine face.
The Oakley Correspondent sunglasses are another winner in my book. They have the option of polarized lenses that will give glare the ol’ Bruce Lee, a three-point fit that holds lenses in alignment and outstanding protection from all the kinds of UV.
Lindsey doesn’t have her head turned quite right, but these are the Spy Abbey. They have a handcrafted and hand painted Propionate frame, 6 Base lenses and 8 barrel hinges.
Allie lookin a little Blues Brothers-esque in the wonderful Smith Jett. These guys have handmade Acetate, a small to medium fit and CR39 TLT lenses.
Believe it or not these sunglasses Lindsey has on are the purple Spy Bianca. The purple is an amazing shade in real life, at least I was pretty stoked on it. These Spy’s have 8×4 Base Toric ARC lenses, handset metal details and 100% UV protection.
If you’re looking for sunglasses that are a little more unique the Spy Corniche is a pretty good place to start. They are custom built from high quality propionate, a retro lens shape with 6 Base spherical lenses and custom metal details on a low temple design.
Probably one of the best colors I’ve ever seen for sunglasses is the turquoise Spy Dynasty. These doggies are at a pretty good price with all the basic features I’ve already mentioned.
If you want a really popular pair go for the Dragon GG. We actually sold out of them, everyone seemed to like them so much. Luckily Allie had her very own pair to show off. We are going to be getting some more in shortly so if you just fell in love don’t worry we still got your back. These Dragons come with the option of polarized lenses, a Grilamid frame material and a 5 barrel hinge.
If you are in the market for some shades these warm sunny days I hope this helped. Guys check back soon I will get some pics up for you in just a tick.
Which model is that Dragon GG?
Those are the Dragon GG’s in black.
Sweet, they look good!
