Shaun White | Snowboarding Meets Scooters at New Store

By Published On: October 7th, 20112 Comments

Shaun White launched a new website this week announcing that he is the proud proprietor of a new Dollar General type of action sports catch-all called the Shaun White Snowboard Supply Co. This new five and dime-type venture from Shaun White sells logo skateboards for the diehard fans, as well as BMX bikes bearing the SWSC name.

The new site is kind of like that souvenir shop at the entrance/exit of a theme park. For many kids out there it will be an accessible way for them to get into the sport, while at the same time providing a place for kids to tug on their parent’s shorts and throw a temper tantrum until they give in and buy them that new stunt scooter…wait…WHAT?

Yes, Shaun White has thrown his hat into the extreme scooter market with two stunning new models that look like they hold a mean tail spin (is that what scooterers call their only trick?) The scooters come in red and white (get it?!) and are priced at a cool $159.99 just in time for the holiday shopping season. The shop also has ramp sets, so one can only infer that Shaun White is making a hard case to have scooterering in the Summer Olympics.

A formal announcement of the site will happen in conjunction with the Las Vegas Dew Tour next week. No word yet on if the store has plans to expand into the sales of tires and tampons to compete with Shaun’s other sponsors, Target and BF Goodrich.
