2011 Rossignol One Magtek AmpTek Snowboard

Rossignol Snowboards, Snowboard Boots, Bindings, Skis, Ski Boots, BindingsThis is the Rossignol One Magtek Snowboard. This is an all mountain, freestyle board that comes in wide options. The directional twin shape is unique because the nose and the tail are the exact same shape, but the stance is set back a little bit.

Rossignol all mountain profile “AmpTek -All Mountain” has 1.5 mm of camber in between the bindings and underneath the binding, and the nose and tail gradually rocker up. If you were to look down the edge you’d notice the Magne Traction. That is similar to a serrated knife edge; there’s more radius in this knife edge than a classic radial sidecut, or standard 1, or 2 or 3 sidecut radiuses. This board does have a medium flex. The nose and tail have about a “7” rating and the mid section has an “8.” It makes for a fun and playful feel when you’re cruising all over the mountain.

The wood core that you can actually see through the clear top sheet runs of course, tip to tail, and there are carbon fiber stringers that run down the center and on the rails of the board. The Sintered 4400 base is going to stay very fast and absorb a lot of wax. Come check this board out. It is the Rossignol One Magtek, freestyle board.

I bought this board in 2011, the first year The One Magtek came out and still love it. I have demo-ed so many other boards since then and nothing even comes close in my opinion. The edge hold is awesome without being catchy and its got enough flex and rocker in the tip and tail to be playful as well. I was just at Stratton for an in industry demo and rode the 2015 model (a bit smaller version, i ride a 163) and the new board feels super similar. I know Rossi isnt the “coolest” brand to snowboarders, but F that noise, I RIDE FOR THE RIDE, NOT THE IMAGE.
And I love my One Magtek.
