Welch Village is a resort about an hour of south east of the Twin Cities located in the quaint little town of Welch just of off Hwy 61. Welch’s elevation is 700 ft at the valley floor and 1060 ft at the summit. Which gives it a vertical rise of 360 ft. There is 140 acres that makes it pretty big compared to others in Minnesota. With 60 trails under their belt there is enough room to go out and have a good time. All this time growing up in Minnesota, it was my first time ever riding Welch Village.  I went down for the day for a Retail 2010/2011 Demo. All the major players in the snowboard and ski industry were there demoing next year’s products. The sun was shining and the conditions were good, I had a great time testing the products and talking with some of the local reps. As far as the actual resort goes they got a pretty good set up. Pretty much every hill has something fun on it; you know those little things on the sides that make free riding so much fun. Well that’s what they have everywhere. The park was pretty good with a decent amount of stuff. Overall Welch Village has my back any day.

Make sure to check out the product reviews of next years gear!
