Nike LunarENDOR Quickstrike Snowboard Boots

Nike dropped there most high tech snowboard boot they’ve ever made early in the fall of 2013.  It was called the Nike Lunarendor Snowboard Boot and featured more tech than anyone though possible, and then this happened; the Nike LunarENDOR Quickstrike Snowboard Boots.  The Nike LunarENDOR Quickstrike Snowboard Boots feature the same tech as the Nike Lunarendor Snowboard Boots – most notably Lunarlon Cushsioning, Interchangeable Flex Inserts, Free Sole, Heat Moldable Liners, and a Flywire Harness, but then they add some spice to the Quickstrike.  The spice is LED lights, 30 of them embedded into the swoosh.  Damn.

The LED lights are powered by a rechargeable lithium ion battery that is engaged by a pushbutton on the lateral upper cuff.  As sweet as they may seem there are a few problems.

1.  A majority of ski resorts don’t offer night riding.
2. If you do wear them at a resort that has night riding your pants, and bindings will probably cover up the lights.

Props to Nike for doing something different, but I’m still on the fence between thinking they’re wack or rad.  What do you think?

    nike MAG – snowboarding edition.

I wouldnt buy them for the lights, but i have heard they are really comfortable. I swear by nike runners – so the snowboarding division would probably fit me perfectly too.

I own the LED lunarendor boots… They are comfy BUT after 2 days riding right boot LED doesn’t work properly. As you flex the boot while walking or even tapping on back of Swoosh with finger the light turns on and off…..
The lights are great for people who want to put then in a shelf. Not tough enough to put in bindings and ride.
    Ps
Nike doesn’t stand behind that product. They won’t fix or replace . So do to buy them for the lights. You WILL be disappointed !
Actually – when chatting with nike they didnt even know bike makes a boot with LEDs in them….hmm… Save your money.
