Halfpipe Olympic Team is Announced

All stops of the Grand Prix are said and done and we now have a 2010 Olympic halfpipe team for the Vancouver games. For the ladies it’s Kelly Clark, Gretchen Bleiler and Hannah Teter. For the guys it’s Shaun White, Scotty Lago and Louie Vito. There is still one spot left on both the men’s and women’s team and those spots will be announced any time now. (Check tomorrow and I’ll have it posted up for ya) Elena Hight is the next one in line on points for the women, so she pretty much has that one wrapped up, but the men have a three way tie between JJ Thomans, Greg Bretz and Luke Mitrani for the fourth spot. It’s a nail biter, but it’s all up to who the Olympic halfpipe coaches like best.

We also gotta give a shout out to The House team riders Kaitlyn Farrington and Brennen Swanson who competed at the Park City Grand Prix. Kaitlyn pulled down 3rd place in the halfpipe, beating out a couple of the girls that are now on their way to the Olympics. Awesome job Kaitlyn, that’s quite an accomplishment! And Brennen was up at the top of the list giving it what he had, making the Olympians work hard and earn their places. Great job guys. We’ll be looking for you on the 2014 Olympic list!
