Capita Horroscope FK 2012

The Capita Horrorscope Flat Kick Snowboard is a reverse cambered Flat Kick freestyle snowboard for that urban assault warrior. This is for that jibber out there or an intermediate snowboarder who wants to take it to the next level. This board pretty much does it all when it comes to freestyle and when it comes to learning and progression.

The flex rating of this board is about a three, so it’s going to be a very, very soft board. What makes it as fun as it is is the Urban Flat Kick baseline shape that it has. Now, on the inside of the inserts the board is going to be completely flat. Now, after the insides of the inserts to the ends of the effective edges, the board is actually going to reverse camber and rocker up. Now, at the end of the contact points or the effective edges, to the tips and the tails, the nose and the tail are actually going to be completely flat.

Capita calls it Flat Kick technology and it’s great for setting up those maneuvers, getting onto jibs, and jumping in general as well. The tip to tail wood core is a unique wood core. It is a, it’s a pressure bonded composite wood core, so it means for a soft and stable ride. You can see here when I flex this and you can maybe hear it. It’s going to be smooth all season long, which is definitely a good thing. Now the glass that surrounds the pressure bonded wood core, which is called a Wood Derived Technology Wood Core, is two layers of fiberglass. Now, the fiberglass runs in two different directions, both on the top of the wood core and on the bottom of the wood core. Now, at zero degrees the fiberglass strands, and there’s actually 370 grams of fiberglass that run at zero degrees and 50 grams of fiberglass that run at ninety degrees; so it’s going to be a softer board but it’s going to be a smooth board which is a good thing.

The boards have a slightly smaller side-cut radius, the side-cut radius run from about a 7.5 to about a 7.9, depending on what size you get. What makes this board almost indestructible and bomb-proof is the ABS sidewalls. So, these things can take a beating all season long. So, it doesn’t matter if you’re in cold weather, hot weather, these things are going to absorb impact a lot more than a traditional sidewall would. The base graphic you see is great because it has the high transparent extruded base. It’s going to be a low-maintenance base, which is a good thing if you’re a jibber. Usually you don’t care too much about your bases. The tops sheet is a sub-laminate silk-screened top sheet. That’s right it’s going to be a good jib board. It’s nice and soft, flex rating three, Urban Flat Kick technology with a lot of rocker on the nose and a lot of rocker on the tail. This is the Capita Horrorscope Flat Kick Snowboard.
