The Burton Flight Attendant Snowboard does more than just serve you some peanuts and ask you to fasten your seatbelts. The Flight Attendant is a an all mountain destroyer for those who look to seek the finer things their resort has to offer. High-speed groomers, bottomless powder stashes or lengthy tree runs are all well-known territories the Flight Attendant has been trained to navigate through. The Burton Flight Attendant was awarded a spot on our 2019 Top 5 Big Mountain Snowboards list. This deck has been crafted to help you take your riding to new heights and lets you skip the turbulence and sub-par coach dinners.

The Burton Flight Attendant was designed to be a terrain-slaying alternative to traditional twin shaped boards. Its directional shape and flex make this deck dominantly forward-thinking while adding a slight 10mm taper to the tail to help sink this decks rear in deeper snow. Even with its forward thinking shape it is still knowledgeable in the switch stance realm and can still perform going ass first if the situation presents itself.

Burton’s Directional Camber profile makes this deck camber dominant from the tail to just past the rider’s front foot. At that point, they add a subtle rocker section in the nose all the way past the contact point which helps this deck float in powder and makes that powerful and aggressive camber a little more predictable and easy riding on edge. This profile has been proven to be one of the more fun and playful experiences tested by riders, but still holds a true camber edge and pop that the Flight Attendant has been known for.

Burton also adds its very own Squeezebox core profiling. Squeezebox allows the core of this deck to have easier board control, more energy, and pop by milling the core of this board in different zones. This deck will feature thinner zones in the center, nose, and tail while adding thicker zones by the feet for a board that relays more energy and pop while remaining playful and predictable where you need it most.

The Burton Flight Attendant features Burton’s Infinite Ride™ which is a Burton-exclusive technology that allows them to maximize pop and strength by overbuilding the board, then putting it in a machine that breaks in the board for you. Whether you choose to ride Flat Top, Flying V™, or Camber, rest assured that with Infinite Ride™ your board will maintain its flex, pop, and feel from the first day forward, season after season.

Burton Flight Attendant Snowboard Tech Insights:

Sintered WFO Base
Infusing a specially formulated wax deep into the pores of this extra-absorbent, high-density sintered material results in an ultra-durable base that stays Wide F!#@ing Open all season in any condition.

BALANCED FREERIDE GEOMETRY
Twin or directional is the age-old question for creative rippers like Terje. Balanced Freeride Geometry on the Flight Attendant, Flight Attendant Split, Flight Attendant X Split, Speed Date, Stun Gun, Trick Pony, Skeleton Key, Anti-Social, Day Trader, Stick Shift and Storyboard ends the debate with setback camber and a sidecut that is centered on your stance to create a twin freestyle feel when riding flat base. On edge it turns tight and quick with the float and prowess expected from a directional deck.

THE CHANNEL™
Stronger, faster, easier, and more adjustable—The Channel® gives you ultimate control of your stance and your board in a design compatible with all major bindings (not just Burton’s). Better yet, all boards with The Channel are fully covered by a 3-year warranty. This means that if you have any issue with any part of the board, even if The Channel is in mint condition, you are covered.
