2010 Byerly Revival Wakeskate Review

For 2010, we’ve got a new line-up of Wakeskates. As you’re seeing right here, it’s a Revival. It’s taking the place of the Legacy. We’ve got Mellow-ware concaves for this year, kind of downgraded it and made it more easy for bigger footed people like myself. It fits really nice to my feet. On this board, we did a much mellower rocker than we have previously on any Byerly Wakeskate. We took the flat spot and expanded it out a little bit further, and then did a very gradual rocker-line coming off the flat spot, and then accelerated the rocker way more out towards the tip and tail. So you end up with almost the same amount of rocker we’ve had consistently in the Byerly Wakeskate line, but we really smoothed it out and blended it. And by doing this, it did two different things. It’s got way less drag, it’s a way faster rocker-line. And at the same time, it allows it to spin and flip a lot easier, it pushes way less water than before. The channels aren’t so deep. It’s a little bit wider for this year. You can still run the Byerly blunt fin in it. I mean, you can take it off if you don’t like it. We took and did a very mellow, easy channel at the tip on this one to add a little bit of traction. This is George’s personal board. He actually rides with a fin in the back, no fin in the front. With this channel, it actually allows it to track relatively well without a fin too. Pretty much, all around, it’s a really good board. I like it, it’s really good on rails and it cooperates with you wake to wake and pretty much anything you want it to do. So check it out, this is the Revival, taking the place of the Legacy. Available, both, in a 42 and a 39.
