The Nixon JibFest Returns

Nixon is one of the O.G. brands out there, they’ve been doing their thing since the early days of snowboarding, and they’ve been doing it well. Fueling the spark that got them started was the concept of the Nixon JibFest. This idea came about in a time when everything was a contest, and the level of fun in our sport was dangerously low. The Nixon JibFest named a winner, but it was more about getting a group of guys together to get radical on some rails, and then put out a video about it.

This year the JibFest is back. At the end of last winter’s epic season on the west coast, the Nixon crew decided to take advantage of the record snowfall and warm weather to dust off their crowning achievement from almost a decade ago. The Nixon JibFest rolled into Northstar-at-Tahoe for a weekend with a whole new guard of rail slayers mingling with the legends they grew up watching.

Fifteen snowboarders were hand-selected to come out, and it was JibFest veterans JP Walker, Jeremy Jones, Dave Downing, Brian Thein, Simon Chamberlain, and Seth Huot that got to welcome newcomers Joe Sexton, Chris Grenier, Louis Paradis, Scott Stephens, Alex Andrews, E-Man Anderson, Laurent-Nicolas Paquin, Zac Hale,  and Jon Cooley to the exclusive JibFest club.

This edit is the first of many coming webisodes that will be coming out way from Nixon leading into the season, so get excited for what’s to come. On a side note of excitement, check out Mack Dawg in this video rolling around with a RED camera. Hundred bucks says Mack Dawg makes a team video for Oakley to come out next fall, you heard it here first!
