2011 Forum Substance Snowboard

Forum Snowboards, Snowboard Boots, Bindings, Jackets & PantsThe Forum Substance was designed by Peter Line, you’ll see in the graphics there’s a deer all over the place. Peter actually designed this himself. He’s been around for awhile, he knows what he’s doing, and he’s one of the guys who organized the reverse camber movement. That’s what this twin board has reverse camber. It’s actually called Chili Dog, which is continuous rocker.

Now, if I were about to back up about a mile and draw a circle, this board would be part of that circle. So it’s one continuous rocker shape, not a bunch of other little kinks. So we will not catch up on landings or lips. It has what’s called a GnarLE core, so it has aspen laminated wood from tip to tail, with 45 degree aspen underneath the bindings. It also has 18% sustainable wood that is alternating in between the aspen. Cool board. Cool graphic.

It’s about a 4 in the Flexor rating, so it’s a little bit softer but, in an addition the tail is a little stiffer, so you will be able to ollie a little bit higher than you’re used to with a normal twin rocker board with regular laminate.

The Forum Substance has a formula base which is a Sintered base that is very porous and absorbs wax well. It also has what’s called a swinger’s club. A swinger’s club is the process in which Forum takes the laminate wood core and gradually tapers it on the nose and the tail, for less swing weight. So if you’re looking to rock up a park pretty hard like Peter Line, this is going to be the board for that aggressive rider who does jibs, who does jumps, huge hips, and can method really well. This is the Forum Substance by Peter Line.
