Burton Snowboards Museum – The Barn

By Published On: October 2nd, 20120 Comments

Nestled in the entryway of Craig’s Prototype Facility is a place of breathtaking history – the Burton Snowboards Museum.  If there is one place I’d like to spend more time it’d be there.  Sure anyone can google images of vintage snowboards and find an unending supply of pictures, but to breath the historic air of Jake Burton and his empire is something magical.

To see the the evolution of Burton Snowboards first hand is beyond imagination; original board design sketches from 1977, timesless pictures, and various memorabilia are strategically placed throughout the Burton Snowboards Museum to build an everlasting sense of fascination.

Even though a quick passthrough was enough to fill anyones soul with joy, I wish I was able to spend more time there browsing the milestones of snowboarding.  If you’re looking for a large collection of vintage Burton Snowboards check out the Vermont Ski and Snowboard Museum.
