Built with SurfTech’s renowned quality and engineering, The Balboa AST Stand Up Paddleboard is fully loaded. Its wide standing platform increases stability making it a great touring or recreational board, while the pulled-in squash tail makes it more maneuverable for a board of its length. Its light, strong and low maintenance thanks to the durable AST construction. An EVA deck pad provides cushioning for hours of comfortable paddling. The Balboa also has a leash plug at the tail to secure your leash, PFD, or dock tether. A security bar in the center handle allows you to easily lock up your board. For securing your gear, there’s also an additional tie-down point at the front of the board. Probably the best feature of the Balboa is the Venture paddle that comes with the board. It’s an adjustable length aluminum shaft paddle perfect for multiple users or those looking for a longer paddle for touring and a shorter paddle for surfing.

Bottom line – the Balboa is table board for touring or recreation. I’s relaxed bottom rocker allows for more glide per stroke. The leash plug at the tail, security bar in the center handle, and tie-down point at the front of the board are attractive features for all types of paddlers. Available in 10’6″11’6″ or 12′, the Balboa is an all-round board ready for various levels looking to paddle flat water, open water or waves.
