Wednesday Web Gems

  • This week’s Wednesday Web Gems casts a wide net for an even split in skateboard and snowboard news. Despite Germany’s track record for designing all sorts of clever things, the incredible comfort of Gravis shoes, however, comes from Burlington, Vermont. Gravis team rider Steve Fortsner is from Germany though, and he took some time away from driving crazy fast on ze autobahn and getting served frothy mugs from babes in lederhosen to film this video part. There’s something to be said for the unassuming bystanders in skateboarding videos. You know the one, casually walking through the shot with no idea what’s going on around them, and Forstner bags a good one here.
  • Speaking of quality design, Nixon Watches just added Torey Pudwill to their already stacked team and they’ve got the videos to prove it
  • The Cliche team is having a demo at The Berrics Plaza in Los Angeles on Friday, November 4. Head there around 4pm to catch Joey Brezinski and the team.
  • Following in the footsteps of Zac Marben’s art show in Laguna Beach, AR4T is holding the opening reception for Corey Smith’s show on Thursday night at 7pm.
  • Arbor Snowboards added wooden hardrail enthusiast Curtis Woodman to the team.
  • LRG is throwing a season kickoff party up in Salt Lake City next Monday with tons of giveaways and music, and probably plenty of pros waiting for the lifts to spin.
