Kingvale, you will be missed!

Everyone who rents a house, apartment, or condo usually has some sort of disagreement with their landlord at some point during the lease. For renter’s it usually involves getting a leaky faucet fixed, or something comparatively trivial. Today, however, is a sad day for snowboarding, as Kingvale Terrain Project has picked up their equipment and shut down operations in the Tahoe area, citing irreconcilable differences with their landlord.

For the last two seasons, Kingvale has been operating in North Lake Tahoe as one of the coolest parks in the country. The terrain was all park, all the time, and the grassroots project has been featured in countless magazines and several videos. Dropping the scant $22 on a lift ticket there was an investment towards taking laps with some of the many pros that frequented the resort, as well as riding some sick features with no lines or wait times.

The dream is not completely gone though, and the guys are looking for a new place to call home. So if you have a backyard you want to rent out or you can talk your local resort into giving these guys some space nearby let them know. Kingvale is a truly inspiring young project by snowboarders, for snowboarders, and they need our support. Let’s help find them some new digs and keep the stoke alive!
