Wanna know how this here internet works? Don’t tell anyone I told you this, but the reason that companies advertise on other websites is because they hope to catch the attention of everyone who would normally be clicking around on that site. They count the amount of clicks that their ads get, and voila! instant gratification for them and their banner.

Why does this matter to you? Well good friends I believe congratulations are in order, to you! You and twitchy fingers have helped create what is probably the first ever skatepark built on clicks— and a few t shirts here and there.

The Berrics, veterans of their own private, velvet rope skatepark, have built and opened one for the public in Los Angeles. The ribbon was cut by Steve Berra and Eric Koston themselves, and this is precisely how we like to see skateboarders giving back. The park was built in conjunction with the Los Angeles Recreation and Parks Department, and is the first public Berrics skatepark in the world.

There’s no fees, no bouncers, and no bad vibes at the park, which is due mostly in part to the fact that there’s enough fun for everyone. There’s little stairs and big stairs, low ledges and tall ledges, and they’re all covered in the butteriest concrete courtesy of California Skateparks.

To visit the park for yourself, head on over to Los Angeles and let your GPS steer you to 7000 Manchester Avenue. It’s close enough to the beach for some ocean breezes, nearby the library so if you need a ride from mom she’ll have something to do, and right across the street from the Custom Hotel, who just happens to throw some raging pool parties on Sundays.
