Kids these days are lucky. There are so many legit brands out there to choose from, everyone can have their own identity. In my day (here comes the old man rant!) you started with a K2 Juju, and moved up to something from the Burton line once you convinced your parents that you were serious about this snowboarding stuff. Oh, you got to watch one video a year, the Mack Dawg video. Not that I’m complaining…let’s be honest here, The Resistance is one of the top three movies of all time. (see also: Afterbang, That’s It, That’s All) This year’s crop of videos, as you’ve seen in past Teaser Time’s is a strong one though, and we could have a new entrant into the top three this fall. This week we’re taking a look at Respect Your Elders.
This flick is coming to you from the kingpins of Northwest snowboarding, K2 and Airblaster. Production is being taken care of by Resourceful Gnome. Not the meddling kind that hide in the trees and make cookies, but the kind that spins the wheels inside Travis Parker’s head. It’s his new vid company, and from the looks of this teaser, TP hasn’t lost any of his fun-loving creativity as he vies to take K2 into the feature film arena.
The movie features a cast of Josh Dirksen, Mikey Basich, Ben Lynch, Brandon Cocard, Aaron Robinson, Skylar Thornton, Eric Messier, Temple Cummins, and Travis Parker himself. And if that team of all-stars isn’t enough to get you hyped on the video, I’ve got three words for ya….molotov skeet shoot.
