Finger On Da Trigger and Mark Frank Montoya Productions are at it again, bringing you The Arena this fall. Now, it needn’t be said that these fellas have been the victims of some haters over the years, but this is movie number ten, which should lay to rest any claims that these guys are the sundown to Sunday, fifteen minutes of fame types.
The cool thing about FODT X MFM is that a.)MFM doesn’t get in front of the lens anymore, so the level of wackness is instantly lowered and b.) they’re always finding new spots and chances are they were in your area over the winter. They’re sneaky like that, they’ll come in and slay your local rails while your sleeping and bounce outta town leaving you wondering why there’s a kicker aimed at your roof with seemingly nowhere to land.
The boys are calling The Arena a tribute to the late, great Guru, of Gangstarr fame. A nice touch, since his music has graced countless skate and snow flicks over the years…RIP my man! The crew hit up a whole lot of SLC this winter, along with trips to places that sound exotic only to snowboarders, like Poland.
The teaser looks epic in scope and heavy on stoke, with big parts expected from Lucas Magoon Johnnie Paxson, Dylan Thompson, Travis Kennedy, Jonah Owen, Jake Devine, Derek Dennison. As usual, we’re looking forward to see what Gooner gets into with his part and you know the The Kid TK will be handing out hammers like it’s his job.
