Strap’d Up is a new web site that is actually pretty cool despite its dumb name and awkward logo. It’s basically a nationwide contest that puts you in front of the world via the web. Monthly themes are named, and then you go out and film your best tricks. Upload your footy and then at the end of the month, people vote on it and the winner gets $500. So basically, since you’re already out there on the streets filming your video part for the year, you’ve already got a bag full of bangers and this way you can make some cash for your efforts and use it for something productive, like a new dolly since your friend can’t hold a camera steady or maybe just on some new gear from The House.
This month’s mission asks for the best single park trick. Simple as that. Just has to be at a resort and only one trick. We wonder if it counts if you do a whole park lap with manuals in between each feature a la Tony Hawk Pro Skater?
