Salomon…So Hot Right Now

Transworld’s Team Challenge winner for 2010 is none other than the boys of the Salomon Team. After reviewing each team’s footage on Transworld’s Web Site, its no surprise either. They won by a landslide with not only creative tricks, but also thanks in large part to the efforts of the crew at Keystone, Colorado.

So how does a ski company like Salomon, formerly known for their headlong foray into the cutting edge snow-llerblade technology of years past engineer such an amazing turnaround and eventual takeover of snowboarding? Well they must have Ari Gold himself as a Team Manager, because the crew is an all-star package and Hall of Famers like Jed Anderson, Scotty Arnold, Louis Paradis, and Bode Merril, who were coincidentally chosen as the team to challenge the defending champions of the Rome Team.

Speaking of Rome…they put up a good fight with the help of Clayton and the Bear Mountain crew. The set up was sick and the tricks were solid, but the amount of effort and art that Salomon put in just couldn’t be toppled this year. And to top it off, keep an eye out for a little bit of trash-talkin’ aimed at a certain member of the Rome team. Don’t expect some sort of Quebecois clash though, they’re all friends and it seems that Salomon just wanted to let the competition know that they’re coming for ’em!

You can check out all of the videos on Transworld, but film and shred aren’t the whole package, so pick up the first issue of the magazine for the stunning photography that’s sure to line your locker all fall until that first snow prompts a day out of class. Lucky for you, we already sorted through the videos so now you know that you don’t even need to bother with Nitro and Volcom, because they’re falling behind faster than your MySpace account. Oh, and check out The House’s own lineup of Salomon decks and you’ll be setup for back270 pull-backs faster than you can say Jed Anderson.
