Salomon Patriot Snowboard Bindings – 2011

Salomon Snowboards, Snowboard Boots and BindingsThis is a Salomon Patriot Snowboard Binding. You can fly the flag for the endless winter in these things. They have a flex rating of a 2, so they’re going to be a little bit softer of a binding. The Composite Slasher chassis is pretty unique because the heel cup and the sidewalls of the chassis are actually combined. You can’t move the heelcup back or forth, but you can fully adjust the highback to rotate towards and be parallel with your heel side edge. The Optistream highback has a nice centered spine with a toolless forward lean adjustment. The EVA pads will absorb a lot of impact in the footbed and you can actually adjust the toe ramp. So even if your feet grow just a little bit, you need bigger boots, you won’t need bigger bindings. You can ride these for multiple seasons because of the adjustable toe ramp.

The 3-D Prime ankle strap is 3-D molded. It’s a little bit skinnier in the center, a little bit wider on the outsides for lateral and medial support. There is also an adjustable tool less micro adjuster. So if you need these bindings centered on your boots you can do that. Unique to Salomon is their  True-Grip Fast-Fit toe strap, which means when you unlock these aluminum ratchets these things actually don’t come fully undone. It’s going to be quick. It’s going to be easy. If you ride in the dark, you won’t need to be able to find that little hole and to stick it in and to tighten it, because the True-Grip Fast-Fit makes it quick and easy to get in and out of. That’s right, this is the Salomon Patriot Snowboard Binding for the entry level rider, a lot of great features, lightweight, and my favorite thing, the True-Grip Fast-Fit toe strap
