K2 Cinch CTC Binding Review

This is the K2 Cinch CTC Binding. Awesome. Convenience. All at an awesome price. I’m sure you’ve heard of the cinch system. It’s easy in, easy out for convenience. K2 is pretty much the only company right now that’s doing this as awesome as they are.

The Chassis is a nylon reinforced fiberglass chassis, heel cup, and side walls there. The highback is great. It’s called the Cinch Airframe. As you’ll see, it’s centered. It’s perfect. It has nice, forgiving flex both on the inside and on the outside. The Caddy System ankle strap, as you’ll see, is a little bit narrower in the middle so you don’t get that binding bulge when you’re riding. Another thing I like about the straps and the toe strap is that it’s hollowed out for saving weight.

It all so has tool-less centering. So if you wanted to center your strap onto your boot, which makes for a more comfortable and convenient ride, it’s all tool-less. Which is definitely great. They have speed ratchets on them. Quick and convenient. Easy out. Of course. But you don’t really need those because you already have the Cinch highback step in system. Just like that. Has multi-compatible discs. So if you want to put this on a Burton board, if you want to put this on a whatever board, K2 board, you can definitely do that.

Check this thing out. The K2 Cinch. Convenience. Easy in. Easy out. Looks rad. Comfortable.

Brian, with K2, and we’re taking a look at the K2 Cinch CTC Binding. The Cinch binding is one of our convenient-style bindings – has all of the quick adjustments, ratchets, as the standard binding does but offers that reclining high-back convenience. What’s nice about the Cinch is that when you’re in the binding, you do have all those quick adjustments, tool less adjustments, so they’re nice and easy to do on the hill, and then, the straps actually lift up and away from your binding, when you’re getting into there, and then cinch back down – suck right down onto your foot just giving you a nice, clean, tight grip onto your boot. Yeah, that’s the K2 Cinch CTC.

The K2 Cinch CTC Snowboard Binding. It is focused on the fast and easy to get in and out of in a cinch. The C1 fiberglass reinforced nylon chassis is going to be stiff yet flexible at the same time. The Cinch Airframe Highback has a spine, nice thumb holes, and EVA padding as well. The Caddy ankle strap is pretty cush. It’s narrower in the waist and offers lateral and medial support. And it does have the Cam Lock system that is toollessly adjustable. So if you need adjust these straps on the center boot you can do that with no tools whatsoever. The Cinch Universal Toe Strap is cored to save a little bit of weight and there’s absolutely no ratchets but micro-adjusters on the toe strap. The discs work well with four and three hole pattern and they’re called the multi compatible discs. The Cinch system like you saw in my earlier demonstration is basically a step in, step out system. You adjust your ankle strap and your toe strap to fit snugly on your boots and then all you have to do to get in and out of them is pull this little lever in the back. It’s literally a cinch and this is the Cinch by K2.
