DC Shoes Opens The Embassy in Barcelona

Put away your homework, The Berrics has a new little brother. DC Shoe Co. opened up their own exclusive skate facility in Barcelona earlier this week, which is good news for a city stricken with such a severe lack of outdoor skate spots. The DC Embassy is just like any other embassy, in that it provides a safe haven for people from similar backgrounds to come together in a foreign land.

DC had a lot of help from their european team in deciding the skatepark layout, which was then expertly built by the CSP design team. The park has some fun features, and the site layout is a page straight out of The Berrics. Its only been live for about a week now, so it definitely has some growing to do if it wants to compete with the original, but I’m sure they have the Spanish equivalent of Zach the Intern there to make sure the site blows up proper.

The video above is just a little teaser, but the DC Embassy site is filling up with footage faster than an EHD at Brain Farm. The real highlight so far is Tom Penny. Rub your eyes and read it again, Tom Penny’s got a whole clip just to himself.

I don’t know how Eric Koston and Steve Berra feel about the place, but they’re pretty cool dudes so I’m sure they’re not too worried about it. Plus, think about the possibilities…a worldwide game of SKATE.
