2011 Academy Rhythm Revers Camber Snowboard

This is the Academy Rhythm Reverse Camber Snowboard. It has a flex rating of about “7” so it’s a little bit on the stiffer scale, but the True Twin shape, centered stance and sandwiched construction will keep you happy all day long. Another great thing about this snowboard is that 1% of its sales actually go into the Academy Scholarship Foundation. That’s right, they have a scholarship and 1% of this board’s total sales will go toward it, so sign up; their website is academysnowboards.com. The Canadian aspen wood core runs from tip to tail, and the poplar wood stringers run through the inserts for that lightweight feel and response that you need. The Biax fiberglass runs in two directions, at 90 degrees and at 0 degrees. And the radial sidecut will keep you smooth all day long, both in the entrance and the exits of turns. The low maintenance Extruded 2000 base is gonna be one you won’t have to maintain too much. I would suggest putting a coat of wax on it every once in a while, but it’s gonna be strong and it’s gonna be durable. That’s right, a flex rating of “7”. The Academy Rhythm Reverse Camber Snowboard Camber Snowboard. It’s made in Austria — for you in the States!

2011 Academy Rhythm Camber Snowboard

This is the Academy Rhythm camber profile snowboard. That’s right, these things are made in Austria. This board has a flex rating of a 7, it’s going to be on the stiffer end of the scale. It is a true twin shaped board for that freestyle rider at heart. Academy uses a sandwich construction and centered stance that are going to be pretty much bomb-proof all season long. When you look at the topsheet you’ll notice the rough textured pattern that it has, it’s almost feels like grip tape in spots where the keys lay. The Canadian Aspen wood core runs from tip to tail. There’s also poplar stringers that run by the inserts from tip to tail as well giving it that extra lightweight feel and the extra responsive feel that this board will have. The Biax fiberglass runs in two different directions at 90 degrees and at 0 degrees, and the radial sidecut radius will definitely keep you on a smooth edge both in the entrance and exits of turns. The low maintenance base is an extruded 2000 base. You won’t have to wax this as much as a sintered base, but I’d say keep this thing well maintained. Again this is the Academy Rhythm snowboard with a camber profile, there is also a reverse camber profile that comes with more options.
