Transworld TransAM – Powder Ridge

The 2012 Transworld TransAM at Powder Ridge was an event that you shouldn’t have missed.  The Midwest masses gathered together for one of the best snowboard contest of the season.  The mini pipe, bonk, and jib set up at the Transworld TransAM made for a great showing of natural talent and creativity.

Competitors could preregister for the Transworld TransAM making for a smooth process for everyone to get on hill and do what they do best, ride.  Sam Bakken and the Wizard Posse’s fashionably late arrival spread quickly through the riders and everyone instantly stepped their game up a few notches.

The Transworld TransAM staff threw finals bibs, actually t-shirts, to anyone they thought worthy enough to ride in finals.  The finals jam format was pretty simple – a set of features were selected to jam for 20 minutes, and then the features changed for the next set.

All in all the Transworld TransAM turned out to be a great event, and we can’t wait for it to come back next year.
