Day one of Snowboarder Magazine’s Superpark 15 is a wrap and the momentum from today promises for an awesome week ahead of progression and super-shredding.

Mt. Bachelor has the honor of hosting the annual Superpark event this year and for a resort set deep in the backwoods of Oregon they have extended nothing but the royal red-carpet treatment for the 300+ riders, videographers, photographers and industry types invited this year. As is par-for-the-course at Superpark, day one is set aside for testing the waters. At first glance the action on the front-lines may seem a little lackluster for an event called Superpark, but the riders and park crews were busy gearing up for the week ahead. Riders warm up, slip and gauge the ginormous features while park crews make final adjustments to their , all in anticipation for the hammers that are about to be thrown down in the next 5 days. Even so, a massive session on Seven Spring’s park crew’s hip feature started to go off late in the afternoon as riders like Trevor Jacob and The House Boardshop’s own Brennen Swanson threw down and boosted off a daunting hip-gap feature. That… is a massive hip gap. House Boardshop Team Rider Brennen Swanson (left) and his Ride Snowboards teammate Todd Kirby (also a MN native!) has some tricks up his sleeve for Superpark this week. Here’s a sneak peak at some of the other super-features that are in the works for this weeks Superpark menu: More to come. Check back for daily updates throughout the week or find out more over at www.snowboardermag.com or peep this vid the Snowboarder mag crew shot the past week during the Superpark 15 build.
