Review: Ride Rapture Snowboard

Dave McCall talking about the Ride Rapture snowboard, a super cool snowboard from the guys over at Ride for the ladies.

Starting off, we’ve got a simple 4×4 insert pattern on this one. It’s a pretty basic mounting system, and saves weight versus the 4×2 system. You’ve got nice purple and pink diamonds and all sorts of stuff rolling through the graphic here. It’s definitely going to be a hot graphic for the ladies.

From there, you’ve got an ABS sidewall. They do it almost vertical. It’s going to put a lot of meat right over the snowboard edge. It’s going to be very durable over icy hard-packed terrain. It’s also going to bite better in those conditions, too. It definitely protects the innards of the snowboard. From there moving into their base, which is going to be an extruded die cut base, you’ve got really clean lines and really bright, crisp graphics on the base. You don’t have to wax that much and it’s going to be very easy to repair if anything does go wrong with it.

Other than that, simple radial side cut to this one. Nothing too aggressive, it’s going to be nice and mellow; it’s going to be nice and predictable. This snowboard is great for the entry level to intermediate all mountain rider, or entry level to intermediate park rider as well. A little direction on this one, but it’s pretty easy to run it twinned-out. It’s from their Foundation collection. It’s definitely going to give you a good head start in the game.

The Ride Rapture snowboard, a good version of it!
