Review: DC Phase Snowboard Boots

Dave, here at The House, talking about the DC Phase snowboard boot. Definitely, DC’s best selling snowboard boot. It comes in at a super good price. A really good snowboard boot for somebody who’s just getting into it, or somebody who’s transferring over from skateboarding to snowboarding and wants that, you know, kind of, loose, forgiving, skate shoe like fit.
The liner on this one; you’re looking at a basic sole and liner. It’s going to fit good, right out of the box. It does have a really easy to tension lacing system. It has a 3-D molded tongue, extra support through the side panel, here. Just a simple no-frills liner that’s going to rock, right out of the box.
For the outer on this one you’re looking at leather and Cordura. Like I said, definitely, designed to, kind of, look like a skate shoe and go after that market. You’ve got a traditional lace system, which is nice, it allows you to tension the upper versus the lower, independently. Nice metal hardware. It’s going to be really durable.
Overall, the DC snowboard boots, in general, are one of the more durable brands that we carry. From there, you’re looking at a full rubber sole with a DC pill pattern, a really good grip on icy, hard-pack terrain. Flex in this one, I would say you’re looking pretty low. One being a soft snowboard boot, ten being a stiff, this bad boy is probably sitting right around, I would say, the 3 – 3.5 range. So, it’s a good entry level snowboard boot. A good snowboard boot for the jibbers. But, all around, really durable, a good product, super solid. The DC Phase snowboard boot.
