OUTDOOR ADVENTURERS UNITE AT THE AMONG THE WILD FUNDRAISER
To Support Adventure Sports In Minnesota And Learn Which Athletes Will Be Profiled In The Independent Film Series.

Join Adventure Minnesota Films for an afternoon on the trails and an evening in the park with live music, food, beverages, prizes, an orienteering scavenger hunt and more!
At 5:00 PM, four local athletes will be announced for the Among the Wild film series. The four winners will be featured in a short documentary that will profile the athletes in fierce pursuit of outdoor adventure sports in Minnesota.The fundraiser is expected to draw hundreds of outdoor enthusiasts from across the state, including kayakers, climbers, cyclists, kite boarders, adventure racers and more. Among the Wild was created to unite the adventure community, make a positiveimpact on the world at-large and revitalize Minnesota’s national reputation as an adventure-worthy destination by showcasing our finest athletes and locations.
The twenty-one nominees vying for a spot in the documentary have a wide variety of inspiring and unique stories to tell. They range from endurance athletes
that have conquered seemingly insurmountable odds to compete in some of the toughest races on the planet, athletes that have taken everyday adventure to extreme heights and individuals that have gone above and beyond to give back to their community. Altogether, the nominees include four rock climbers, four ultra-runners, three kiteboarders, two adventure racers, a snowboarder, urban yoga leaders, competitive log rollers, extreme canoeists, a winter hammock camper, whitewater kayakers, and one multi-sport family.
“We are so excited to be hosting this amazing event to shine a spotlight on the best Minnesota has to offer,” producer Brenda Piekarski said. “At the event there
will be something for everyone: entertainment, food and beverages, prizes, a scavenger hunt and more.”
