Ladies and gentleman, the Bugatti of boards is ready to ship here at The House. We refer, of course, to the Burton Vapor, a stick not meant for schmucks, but rather for the refined taste of those looking for a board that can help you get both a video part and a date.

The 2011 Burton Vapor hits the market with a list of features that envy the new iPhone, and they surely won’t go unnoticed whether you decide to point it down the steepest chutes or at the biggest booters. The mounting system is Burton’s proven Channel system, but that won’t stop you from putting any binding you want on this dream ride.

She also boasts a negative core profile, meaning the board is thinner between the bindings than it is under them, reducing weight and adding what Burton calls “a playful feel.” Playful Luxury Performance….three words that equal nothing but fun on the frozen fields of your local hill. Oh and don’t forget to add in the bragging point that the construction is NASA-grade Vaportech technology, one of the best strength-to-weight ratios among all worldy materials and you’ve got a Burton Vapor that’s lighter than last year’s model.

Burton also decided to ramp up the graphics this year, by dialing up London’s Paul Smith Design on the collabo-phone. The two have teamed up on softgoods several times over the last few years, but this is their first foray into hardgoods. Safely stated, it’s a lead-off home run. Paul Smith signature stripes run tip-to-tail on the base and a glossy black topsheet leaves plenty of room for a sweet sticker job.

Good news is that we got it early, so you still have time to mow a few extra lawns and rake a few extra piles of leaves in order to save up all the pennies needed for this ride. So fire up the John Deere, start slangin’ lemonade and do whatever you can to get yourself on the lightest and most responsive board out there.
