Features
Jeff “Hendo” Henderson has spent 30 years building boards at Mervin. This is the one he’d been working toward. Five years of prototyping went into the Upgrade, tuning nearly every geometry variable into a directional twin built to send it around the resort.
The C2X contour has a short rocker between your feet, a tighter, poppy camber under the back foot, and a longer, floatier camber out to the nose. Mild early rise at the tip keeps it loose. It rides close to camber, with fewer catches and a lot more play. Hendo calls it “the perfect balance between playful and stable.”
The details back it up. Directional triple Magne-Traction puts the bite at your toes and between your feet. The tip and tail stay clean and catch-free. The directional core is stiffer in the nose for stability in soft snow and softer in the tail for carving and float. A ¾" setback stance keeps you balanced when you’re hitting hardpack features and floating in pow. Carbon Power Bands add extra pop on top of the G-Lite 2 Aspen and Paulownia core.
