The Elite Series is designed for the beginner to low intermediate snowboard who is looking to learn and improve on a quality board. The reduced bevel (now 1.25mm) and new variable flex pattern of the Elite make it an wasy board to turn and learn the basics on.  The Elites also feature our new core and outside laminates which decrease vibration and increase binding strength by as much as 400% over last year’s models. Now available with Fastex or buckle bindings.

Burton Elite 150 Snowboard

Burton Elite 150 Snowboard

The Burton Elite 150 Snowboard is now a snowboard that entry level riders over 130 pounds (60 kilos) can both learn and excel on.  With the increased flexibility, especially in the nose of the board, the 150 can now handle bumps and powder with ease.  The board is still beefy enough, however, to carve solid turns on bulletproof hardpack. The responsiveness and versatility of the Elite 150 are what made it ideal for the inexperienced rider.

Rider Profile – Beginner to low intermediate snowboarder who wants a board that will not only be easy to learn on, but will be capable of handling difficult terrain in any snow condition once the rider has learned the fundamentals.

2015 Interior Plain Project Harrow Snowboard Review

Kyle Kennedy Snowboard

Interior Plain Project Harrow | Kyle Kennedy

1 - ipp logo smallI have loved the Harrow since day one. They are truly the perfect blend of a soft playful board that you can maneuver in any way you need them too, and a board with a backbone that will hold you into that press or keep you on your feet hitting kickers in the park. And now, with all Interior Plain Project boards being pressed and handled by the CAPiTA MFG, they will hold together for as long as you need then too.

The Harrow is the perfect mix between pop and press because of its profiled core. Also it has Triaxel glass that gives pop from edge to edge as well as snap in the nose and tail. The minimalist camber allows the board to be easily pressed but yet having that backbone to give you the edge control you’ve been looking for.

The Harrow is the most fun, and playful board I’ve ever ridden. If you’re looking for your next park board, I would highly recommend giving the Harrow a try. Visit the Interior Plain Project to read more on the brand and team!

2015 Rome Garage Rocker Snowboard Review

1 - Matty K

Rome Garage Rocker | Matty Kirchgasler

Currently I’m riding the Garage Rocker. Before trying this board I was pretty convinced that I would only ride a Camber board and be happy with it. Call me old fashioned, but I am a big fan of the edge control and pop that a camber board supplies. Comfortable on the edges and ready to snap an ollie when you need it.

However, I am certainly glad that I chose to push outside my comfort zone to embrace the Garage Rocker. It’s flat underneath and in between the feet where it counts, and reverse where it comes in hand – with only a slight risey. This is a board that harbors the stability you need for jumps but has a hidden secret weapon… You can press with ease.

I’m 6’1″ tall and weigh 175 lbs. with size 12 boots and the 160 Midwide Garage Rocker is the most fitting deck I’ve ridden for my size to date. Also, this board is ready for the park and would probably be awesome in the pow. So stoked on this deck.

2015 Salomon Villain Snowboard Review

Jordan Daniels Salomon Villain Snowboard

Salomon Villain Snowboard | Jordan Daniels

The Salomon Villain Snowboard is a versatile all mountain freestyle board that’s ready to rip any kind of snow you put in front of it. Here’s a little more of what makes this shred stick tick.

To start, the five point equalizer edges makes for a smooth and stable carve, the more contact points the more control from heel to toe. Next, the hybrid camber of The Villain is by far the best then traditional camber boards out today. The camber is flat camber in between the bindings, regular camber underneath the feet and rocker camber on the nose and tail of the board. This hybrid camber acts as a flat camber snowboard as you are riding on the snow and once raised off the snow it becomes a regular camber snowboard essential for park and street.

This snowboard has been one of my favorites to ride everywhere and anywhere there is a jump or a rail. I would recommend this board to anyone who wants a super responsive feel from heel to toe and a flex that is loose but stiff enough so you won’t loop out off your nose or tail. So next time you are at The House Boardshop go and check out the Salomon Villain Snowboard you won’t be sorry you did.

Thanks,
Jordan Daniels

2016 K2 Maysis Plus Snowboard Boots – Sneak Peek

K2 Maysis Plus Boots

k2-logo-120-07

Imagine every great thing you know about the K2 Maysis, and then imagine it with a handful of upgrades, that’s what the new 2016 K2 Maysis Plus Snowboard Boot is all about.

Everything loved about the Maysis is there; the BOA Conda that snuggly wraps the Intuition Pro Foam 3D Liner, the Endo Construction still allows the boots to flex consistently throughout it’s lifetime, and of course Harshmellow underfoot dampening.

The Maysis Plus upgrades include a wide range a tech.  The Vibram V4 Outsole focuses on durability, weight reduction, grip, and a classic lug design.  Although the Maysis Plus only has one BOA external tension system, it works and feels as if it has two BOA dials because of the Tailored Zonal Fit customization.  On the lateral side of the shell the Tailor Zonal Fit system has three different tension notch setting; one with a lower tension bias, one for neutral tension, and one for a upper tension bias.

With a slightly stiff flex and response the K2 Maysis Plus, with all of it’s customization and comfort, is a boot that can master the whole mountain.  Reaching the next level couldn’t be easier, especially if your ride in the Maysis Plus.

K2 Maysis Boots

k2-logo-120-07

When a product is backed by a rider growing into legend status like Tim Eddy people should take note, and that’s exactly what’s happening with the 2016 K2 Maysis Snowboard Boots.  Literally people are writing reminder notes to themselves to get the K2 Maysis.

Staring as one of the best selling Double BOA boots ever produced the two BOA dials have different functions; the 3D Molded Tongue‘s BOA controls the upper and lower tension whereas the lateral shell BOA controls the internal Conda Linder Lace System.  The K2 Maysis boots are built to last the test of time with an exoskeleton like Endo Construction that gives the same medium flex on day one as it does on day 1,000.  Harsh landings are no match for the Marshmellow impact resistant comfort pods that are embedded into the outsole.

All mountain freestyle riders can rejoice together because the K2 Maysis Boots provide more than just comfort and convenience, they provide lasting memories and pure joy.
