In this segment of video we will take a look at winter 2015 Burton boot tech from SIA 2014. Burton’s biggest focus this year was on boot warmth technology. One of the improvements for the winter 2015 Burton Boot line is apply what they called the “Heat Cycle” lining. Carbon threads are stitched into the boot and pulls and circulates heat from the rider’s foot evenly throughout the entire liner. In the video you can also see the close up of the black squares in the lime green tongue of the liner, this is that carbon threading that’ll keep your feet crispy.

Another feature you will find in the entire 2015 boot line line is the addition of foil strobel into the boot liner. What’s a strobel? It is a specific style of stitching lining to the insole of footwear that stronger and more flexible than many other types of construction. If you take a peak at the video you will see a close up shot of the inside of a boot with this foil inside of it. This is not only for the men’s line of boots, but also the women’s.

Moving into women’s boots, Burton has collaborated with boot designer Frye to create a snowboard boot based around their popular “harnest boot.” It’s where women’s boot fashion meets high tech snowboard boot design. Made with Chicago’s very own Horween Leather to really make it look like Frye’s original “harnest boot.”

This is just a snapshot of what Burton has coming in their winter 2015 snowboard boot line so take a watch of the video above and stay tuned for more of the latest Burton tech knowledge coming out soon.
