So what is Sukhave Bodhe anyway? Well, literally it means “Joyful Awakening” and will feature 4 full days at of classes in everything from yoga to organic farming to fire throwing. Yes, that’s fire t-h-r-o-w-i-n-g.

Add in some pretty vibrant musical performances by bands such as Dave Stringer and yoga classes from some of Chicago’s best-known teachers: Rich Logan, Mia Park, Kim Wilcox and Gabriel Halpern and you’ve got yourself a pretty awesome end of the summer event!

And if that’s not enough you can also try Standup Paddleboard (S.U.P) yoga with classes offered during sunrise & sunset. The fest will be held at Stonehouse Farm, a new eco-retreat and sanctuary just 1.5hrs from the heart of Chicago.

Windward’s resident SUP Yoga instructor, Mary Lou Cerami, will be teaching S.U.P Yoga on the beautiful 2-acre pond, and we’ll be along for the ride providing all the SUPs and equipment for the paddleboard classes. Organic healthy food, exercise and the great outdoors.

So even if you’re not sure what a chaturanga is or know where your last downward dog went, this’ll definitely be an event to remember – with something for everyone – sounds like a pretty good way to end the summer to me!
