Naish SUP Paddleboard Review 2016
We just have to start out with the fact that the 2014 Naish SUP lineup is looking better than ever! Naish covers all bases with their vast line of boards and has made a complete design change across the line from the previous season. From soft tops and inflatables to surf/sup’s and race boards, they truly have a board for every type of rider. Take a read, the board of your dreams may be waiting below.
Naish Mana Soft Top SUP Board
Available in two sizes, the brand new Mana Soft Top is a great board for beginners, those looking to try some small surf and great for yoga enthusiasts. The Mana line is Naish’s super stable line of boards that offer a little extra width making balance very easy. The 10′ model has a 33″ width and the 11′ model is almost 34″ wide. The full soft deck pad won’t show dings and scratches like a fiberglass board will, making this model extra durable. Combine that with the hard bottom and wood reinforcement under the the stance area to make this board just about as rigid as a traditional board. The Mana is great for families looking for durability, yogi’s looking for a perfect SUP yoga board or any paddler looking for a very stable and durable board.
Naish Nalu GT/GS SUP Boards
The most popular group of boards that Naish makes is their Nalu line. The Nalu boards are versatile, easy to ride and are perfect for just about any conditions. Wave riding, cruising, touring and more. You name it, the Nalu can do it. Nalu boards come in 4 sizes with slightly different shaping across the line. Sizes include 10’6″, 10’10”, 11’4″ and 11’6″. Each available in GS or GT constructions.
Naish Nalu 10’6″
The 10’6″ Nalu has a 30″ width and pin shape tail making this size perfect for surf, smaller riders and those looking for a more sleek, fast shape with great maneuverability.
Naish Nalu 10’10”
The 10’10 Nalu has a unique flat tail shape and bottom that is exclusive to this size only. The multi-concave shape on the bottom of the 10’10” helps channel the water from nose to tail, offering a very smooth, stable ride. This size is great for beginners, larger riders, those into SUP yoga or anyone just looking for a nice, wide, sturdy board.
Naish Nalu 11’4″ & 11’6″
The 11’4 Nalu and 11’6 Nalu are both great longboard style SUP boards than can surf, cruise and are both quite fast through the water so they can also work great on longer missions.

Naish Glide SUP Boards
One of the most versatile, fun to ride boards that Naish makes is the Glide. Available in 3 variations, the Glide is perfect for touring, racing and cross training. With a displacement hull and pronounced bow, the Glide is fast through the water, exceptionally smooth and very stable despite it’s narrow profile.
Naish 12’0″ Glide Touring
The 12’0 Glide is the Jack of all trades. This board has a 31″ width and a double concave bottom for excellent stability. Compared to the other Glide SUPs in the line, the 12’0″ Glide Touring is a more stable alternative. This size is great for touring, cruising or anyone looking for a little more speed.
Naish 12’6″ Glide
The 12’6 Glide has a more narrow profile at just 30″ but it still highly stable thanks to the super flat deck pad and almost 6″ thickness. If you are looking to start doing some local recreational races, the 12’6 is a race class board and perfect for those looking to get started in competitive paddling.
Naish 14′ Glide
This sleek and fast ride is perfect for those looking for an aggressive touring or race board. This board is narrow (29 1/4″) but not as narrow as traditional race boards around 25″-28″ width, which makes for easier balance. The recessed deck pad for adds extra stability and comfort for longer distance paddle adventures. The 14′ Glide is also available in an upgraded construction (GX) that offers a carbon bottom for even lighter weight.

Naish 12’6″ Javelin GX
The 12’6″ Javelin GX is designed for flat water racing. It has a drop nose displacement hull, recessed deck pad and a slim outline at just 28 1/4 width. Other features include wood reinforcement in the deck pad for stability and rigidness, half deck glass reinforcement for strength and impact resistance and a carbon bottom for weight reduction and added stiffness. For those looking to race in the 12’6 class, the Javelin is a great option.
Naish 14′ Javelin GX
The 14′ Javelin GX is a high performance board made for competitive racing in the 14′ class. With superior acceleration and smooth glide, the 14′ Javelin also comes with a narrow 26″ width, glass matrix deck for strength and weight reduction and carbon bottom. When it’s time to take your racing to the next level, the 14′ Javelin is the board for you.
Naish 14′ Javelin LE
The Mother of all race boards, made for expert level racing is the Javelin LE. We happen to have gotten our hands on the 14′ LE 2014 and this board is no joke. Just over 23″ width this board is not for the inexperienced SUP racer. Carbon deck and bottom, PVC sandwich deck with a longitudinal double stringer for added strength and a CNC cut EPS core for absolute 100% precision. The icing on the cake? This board weighs 22 lbs. Insane.
Naish Air Series Inflatable SUP Boards
If space is an issue, these can help. Inflatable boards are perfect for travelers, those with limited storage space and also loved by SUP yoga enthusiasts. They will perform better than you think. Every inflatable comes with the board, pump, bag and repair kit.
Naish Nalu Air
Available in 10’2″ and 11’0“, the Nalu Air boards are a great way to get all the benefits of the Nalu line without having to deal with an oversized paddle board. Narrow outlines and great rocker shapes will keep you moving quickly through the water on a lightweight and super buoyant board. They come standard with tie downs at the nose so you can keep all your gear with you on the water. The 10’2” is great for smaller riders under 200 lbs while the 11’0 can hold the bigger guys or those looking to cruise tandem.
Naish Mana Air
The big boy of the inflatable line is the Mana Air. With a wider profile and very stable overall feel, the Mana is great for beginners, bigger riders and those looking to get into SUP yoga. Available in 10’0″ or 11’6″, these is a perfect size for every rider. Fully equipped with tie downs at the nose for your life vest, paddle or any other gear you might want to bring along. The 11’6 can hold rider weight up to almost 300 lbs so for the big dudes or people who might like to paddle with their 4-legged friends, this board is a great option.
Naish One
Appropriately named, the Naish One is an inflatable paddle board that can do just about anything. Perfect for touring, cruising and N1SCO One Design racing, the One is a powerful, fast, fun inflatable board. With a 30″ width and almost 6″ thickness, this board is stable, smooth and easy to paddle. For the paddler looking for a great board to cross-train, cruise or start racing, the One may be the perfect board for you.
