The Skyline Sup series is Chicago’s only WPA Stand Up Paddle Race & Free Sup Clinic Day. From seasoned SUP race pros to start up paddlers looking for a good challenge, we have a race or demo for you. In addition to the races, a series of free clinics will be taking place. You’ll find a wide range of knowledge sharing sessions for all rider types from beginner sessions to advanced race technique sessions.
The 3 Races Include:
- Recreational class – 3 miles
- WPA Elite Class – 6 miles
- Team Race – 1.5 miles
The Clinics Include:
- SUP Race Techniques – 11am
- Intro To SUP – 12pm
- Intro SUP Pilates – 1pm
- Chicago SUP’s SUPFIT -2pm
- Intro SUP Yoga – 3pm
In addition, you’ll find Demo’s from top brands like Naish, Riviera, Starboard and more. Plus, don’t miss out on getting in on the beach raffle going on throughout the event. We have some awesome prizes like a Riviera Paddlesurf stand up paddle board and paddle, Nixon 48-20 watch and a $100 Windward Boardshop gift card!
On top of bringing together a great community of people, all proceeds of the 2013 Skyline SUP Series will go to benefit the Alliance for the Great Lakes. The Alliance is a Chicago based charity that strives to keep our lakes clean. Since 1970, their mission is to conserve and restore the world’s largest freshwater resource using policy, education and local efforts, ensuring a healthy Great Lakes and clean water for generations of people and wildlife.
