On Saturday, January 24th, we took our first bust trip of the winter ’15 season with our friends at Windy City Ski & Snowboard. We headed to Chestnut Mountain in Galena and what started out as a super foggy morning ended up being one of the nicest days we’ve had this winter!
Everybody enjoyed the bluebird skies and great conditions. For those that have not been to Chestnut yet this season, we definitely recommend getting out there. The conditions are great, The Far Side terrain park is fully set up, they’ve got a mini park for those looking for smaller boxes and rails and they are also in the process of building a Burton Riglet Park for the really little ones that are looking to start shredding.
On the bus ride home everyone enjoyed beers from our good friends at Goose Island and a ton of awesome giveaways from brands like 686, Volcom, Burton, DC, Roxy, Vans and She Shreds Co. We then headed back to the shop for pizza, beers and some shopping to close out a killer day.
