A tuned snowboard is a happy snowboard. If you aren’t sure how to do a snowboard tune or just need some tips on how to get the best tune possible, you should attend our Learn to Tune Your Snowboard Clinic on October 8th from 6-8pm at Windward.
Our expert tune staff will walk you through general snowboard maintenance and demo a full tune. The agenda for the clinic includes:
- What is snowboard tuning and why do it?
- Tools you’ll need for a full tune
- Wax types and applications
- Pre-tune cleaning tips
- Hot waxing techniques
- Edge sharpen and de-tune techniques
- Keeping your board fast
- Proper board storage and maintenance
After the clinic you will have all the knowledge you need to become a jedi master of the board tuning discipline. We will demo using our own boards so please don’t bring your own boards and expect to tune them with us. However, if you want us to tune your board up you can bring it in and take advantage of our 50% off full tune special running through the end of October.
