Description: O'Briend Fremont Blem Wakeboard - Kids

Inspired by the Paradigm flex board, but at a more wallet-freindly price, the Fremont is a do-it–all boat and cable board. In the Fremont, O’Brien captured the essence of all that makes the Paradigm such an outstanding hybrid board; the same featureless bottom and durable, removable Blunt fins, the stiff midsection but flexible tip and tail, the DuraRail Edge and the straight edge profile. The Fremont is great for intermediate riders, but pros love it, too.

Beginner Friendly Board
I bought the 120cm Fremont for my 6yr old (55lb) son. He learned very quickly and several nieces/nephews that are a little bigger and more experienced enjoyed using it as well. The edges are relatively soft and do not catch for new riders learning to go straight, eliminating some of the typical face plants that new riders have. The board had good pop off the wake for my nephew that is starting to jump. If you are using a different brand bindings, be sure to get the right sized screws (6MM). We had older hyperlite bindings that we put on the board, but the screw threads were slightly off (1/4-20), but close enough we were tempted to force it which would have resulted in cross- threaded. You'll need M6 (Metric) screws to fit this board, which was easily acquired at the local hardware store. The thread insert size is noted on the board, but I completely missed it until afterwards.
