Surprising range and maneuverability, loads of speed
I have a Lib/Lost PJ 5'9" and a Short Round 6'0". Perfect 2-board quiver for the PNW when I'm not on a log mid-summer. The PJ can handle up to head-high and a tad above, surprisingly, but you'll need a rampier wave as the width can get in the way when waves are steeper faced--which is where the Short Round works for me here. Did I mention this thing has speed to burn and still turns on a dime?

This is the first shortboard that I've really gotten along with. I don't get out as often as I'd like so I need all the help I can get, and this board catches waves easily, is fast down the line so I can beat sections, and turns like a dream!

Best all around board I’ve ever had
I ride a 5’9” PJ and it’s the best all around board I’ve had. It’s kept me surfing beyond my years on a short style board. I’m 70 years old and still feel like a kid on this thing. I ride it as a quad and it has handled pretty large surf in northern Cali. Plus the durability of it has saved me lots of bucks for the beers I like to drink!

This board is great for points and beach slop. It has a fishy feel and paddle with explosive short board turns mixed in. It relatively fast and it’s good to excellent in the lip line. It does good rapping turns under the lip and allows you to get in a good rhythm for snaps and cutback combos. Like it best as a quad...Lib tech 59 PJ is really fun and a great board to take on a trip. Recommend!

The true quiver killer
I bought a 5’7 pj December of 2015

Since then I have bought....
5’8 rnf redux
5’6 carbon wrap puddle jumper

These other boards were great but speed of the lib tech pj is unmatched. I have sold the rnf and carbon wrap pj and still riding the 5’7” lib tech pj quad with stretch fcs1 fins. This is the best board I have ever ridden in 17 years of surfing. My go to all around assault vehicle. As a full time parent and worker I sometimes go a few weeks without surfing but when I finally do this thing makes that rust fall of fast. If you wanna go fast as fart and have fun, this is the ultimate weapon.

Fun and Tough
I bought this board after trying a friend's Puddle Fish. I liked that board but wanted slightly more volume but not as much as the next size up. I decided to go with the 'jumper' instead. The board is a little heavier than most epoxy boards but still flies through the air with ease. Really stable, easy to catch waves and to get speed, it's put a few dings in me but hasn't shown any wear. This board makes me a better surfer because I have no fear of damaging it so I try things I wouldn't on a PU.

Get one!
I've had my 5'5" PJ for almost 3 years now, and it remains my favourite go-to board for most sessions! I got it as groveller, at which it excels, as one would expect. What I was surprised about is how it makes almost any wave way more fun, even the overhead stuff! Well perhaps not so suited to the hollow stuff - although I've managed to sit it into my share of barrels! I always surf mine as a quad. Probably the best thing about this board is I can almost pretend to be a frothing grommet again, and catch anything that moves. And it absolutely flies down the line! My local is a rocky point break, and this board has had plenty of encounters with those rocks. Holds up well! After one particular broken leggy incident, the top half-inch of nose got pushed up weird... I wasn't gonna bother fixing but it kept staring at me while I was paddling so in the end I did. I've also surfed the Aireola, Short Round, and Nude Bowl. Haven't tried the Redux RNF yet, but for now faithful PJ is my pick. If it ever dies, I'm getting another one!

BEST Small Wave Board Around
The absolute best small wave board I've ever ridden. It's so easy to ride, paddle and surf. It really makes you feel like you're better than you are lol. I haven't brought it out on head high days, but this definitely kills it on anything up to Chest high.
