I generally wear a large, but I have a wider upper body and I read that this jacket is typically for thinner men. I'm 6 ft, 36 waist, 240lbs. Should I get a large, or xl. I wear under armour cold gear base layer and a fleece under my jacket, but at the same time I'll be wearing this off the hill too. What do you think?

I would recommend the XL in this jacket. Volcom does tend to make their jackets more or a tailored fit than other brands do. For more detailed information, feel free to check out the 'sizing and fit' link located under the 'Size' drop down menu!
Have a great day!
I’m about 5’8 165-170 can’t decide on the medium or large any help??

This jacket is considered a standard fit so I would go with what you typically wear. Take a look at the size chart and check your measurements. My best guess, only knowing your height and weight, would be a Medium.
