Is the Rossingnol BC automatic cross country binding compatible with the EVO OT skis?
Thomas P on Dec 1, 2014

yes, the BC automatic cross country binding is compatible with the Evo OT but you will need to use a BC boot with that particular binding.
Will these bindings work with any rossignol cross country skis? Will they just snap on to my current rossignol skis?
Tyler G on Mar 2, 2015
BEST ANSWER: I recently purchased the Rossignol EVO Trail Positrack skis and the Rottfella BC Automatic bindings. Although this isn't the same binding name I had to do some homework that should be useful to you. It turns out this binding is supposed to be the same as the Rossignol BC Automatic binding. In fact made for Rossi by Rottfella. This is an NNN BC binding. This means it works with boots that are the NNN BC compatible. (style sole and shank). So you need to make sure the binding and boot you are going to use are the same BC NNN binding style. They are for back country or out the back door use. This implies a wider ski. My EVO Trails are 60mm in the middle where the binding mounts. Not sure what the width of the binding is but you wouldn't want a wide binding over-hanging the edge of a narrow ski because if you were track skiing the binding would drag against the edge of the track.
The other part of your question "Will they snap on to my current Rossignol Skis?" Implies that you have an NIS plate mounted on the ski's. Certain skis come with NIS plates that allow certain NNN bindings to snap on and give some adjustment (forward & backward of the NNN binding) I don't believe these bindings can be used with the NIS plate. They need to be mounted on the ski's using the template that comes with them and screws. This was what I had to do. Or just bring them to a shop. Sorry for the long response hope it helps.
What boots are compatible with these bindings? I bought the bindings and Rossignol X5 OT boots but they don't work. I'd like something similar to the X5 boot.
A shopper on Jan 25, 2015
BEST ANSWER: the Rossignol BC X6 boot will work with athat binding. What skis are you putting the bindings on? if a touring model and not BC you could simply go with a touring binding and use your X5OT boots.
I bought a skate ski package from you with Rossignol X-8 skate boots which have NNN binding system. Can I use these boots with regular cross country bindings? I am looking for waxless skis .. what skis and bindings do you recommend for recreational mid level ability?
Andrew C on Feb 10, 2015
BEST ANSWER: yes the X8 skate boot can be used with classic skis because the Rossignol boots all have a shank in the sole of the boot running from heel to arch this allows even the skating boots to be supple enough in the fore foot to use for classic. Not made for BC bindings however touring bindings only.
