Do you have bmx bikes that hold 270?
Zakkery on Jul 10, 2018
BEST ANSWER: Hi Zakkery,
Technically, someone that weights 270 lbs can ride any bike. The higher-priced bikes are going to be more durable though. Unfortunately, someone who weighs over about 200 lbs and does tricks/jumps on their bike is going to go through parts more quickly than someone who weighs less. The higher-end the bike is, the longer the parts will last. The opposite is true for lower-end bikes.
I would look for something with a mid bottom bracket and a full Chromoly frame, fork, and crankset. These will be the most durable parts that you will likely find on a BMX bike. You may also want to consider getting a spare set of tires and tubes as those are typically the first to go!
Though, if you are over 5'8, I would suggest something with a 20.75-21.25in top tube length for a more comfortable feel.
I hope this is helpful!
