I have had this bike for more than a year now. I'm thirteen and I got it last Christmas. The only thing I changed on it is the seat, stem, and pedals. It is only like 25.5 lbs now because I put a plastic seat on it. I do crazy jump on it all the time an I learned how to 180 roll out and G turn and foot jam tail whip. The only problem is the hubs. This bike came with cheap hubs and the back on was actually missing a bearing when I got it. So they sent me a new wheel for free. It's great but I would recommend different tires. I have been saving for some custom wheels so my bike will be lighter and better. Great bike!!
I got this bike like a week ago and that's all I need to know it's better than a fit complete this thing is really strong and feels really nice with taller people keeping more balanced and more comfortable if u don't get this bike you will regret it
Pretty good bike overall. Lightweight, fast. But I would not recommend the rear hub broke on me the week after I started using it. I took it to the shop it they said all they could do was tighten the bearings and even then the rear hub was still lose. And now it completely went a have to buy a new wheel.
This bike is perfect for customizing. Great for learning a couple bmx tricks especially on flat ground. It also holds up well off of ramps. I would recommend considering new pegs if you want to try grinding but they are fine for flatland tricks.
This bike was price well and it is a solid bicycle, I am very happy with this purchase. Very easy to put together and it comes with the smaller sprocket which is a cool feature, that is on the more expensive BMX bikes. Customer services was very helpful and quick to answer my questions. Good bang for your buck!!!
My Daughter wanted a Purple BMX Bike, This is one of a few choices she picked and it has no added graphics so she can make it her own with added pro stickers..

BEST ANSWER:The Sapient Lumino Pro is not meant for jumping or tricks. It is a point A to point B bike. If you are looking for a jumping bike i would look towards the Sapient SAGA bikes

Yes, however if you are hitting big jumps you may want to upgrade the rims...or if you are a heavier rider...110lbs+. The bike is of the same build as an SE like my other son has...but with $99 the components are what you would expect.

BEST ANSWER:All complete bikes are stock bikes, Unless you do a custom build. But yes The Sapient Lumino Pro has unsealed everything. There is nothing wrong with unsealed, you just have to stay up on maintenance

Thanks for deleting my last question regarding if the cranks really are a 3 piece because my friends sprocket was integrated on his so he had to get an all new 3 piece just to get a new sprocket. Probably won't order from here now if you aren't going to be honest with your customers. Unless you actually answer my question then I'm done with this website. So once again, is the sprocket built into the cranks so that you can't just replace the sprocket or do you need to get another 3 piece too?

BEST ANSWER:its a 3 pc crank , you can replace the sprocket it takes some digging to find one that fits tho
The Sapient Lumino Pro Does not have a Integrated sprocket. it has a lock ring on the back of the sprocket that also acts as a Cone Race for the bearings. it Requires a special tool to remove. All bike shops have the tool. i Recommend that you bring your bike to your local shop and have them remove it that way.
BEST ANSWER:Hi Mallory, My son bought this bike. It has a Matte finish, looks very good. Not his exact choice of colors, though, finish helped. Lightweight, good stunt bike.

Having a certified bike mechanic assemble the bike will assure that the Sapient Lumino Pro X BMX Bike's brakes are going to work the way they were designed...for stopping.
The brakes are great! The are a higher quality than you would expect from a bike at this price. You can remove the pegs if you want. You do not have to put them on.

My son is not tall so she should be ok , now the only break is a mechanical break that you operate from the right handle to the rear wheel. It don't have breaks on the feet. It's a freewheel.

I would say no. My thirteen year old popped the tubes on the tires by jumping over a dirt track. Also, be very careful on pavement. Going over curbs will split the rims.
Ok so I got this bike two days ago its great I love it rides smooth but when I do a big bunny hope and land it makes a Loud tinging sound. What is makeong this sound ?
BEST ANSWER:It sounds that either you have too loose of a chain and you are getting chain rattle or your spokes are too loose. All assembly of BMX bikes need to be done by a certified bike tech - does not sound like you had that done in your case. Please bring your bike in to your local bike shop and have them tightened the spokes - and give your bike a once over.
Well I did have it done by one it was done by me I work at a bike shop I just don't work withe thes types of bikes and I found out what it was it was the brake cable

BEST ANSWER:Compared to a granite boulder the Sapient Lumino Pro X is very lightweight BMX bike, but compare it to a feather and it's pretty heavy. At 26.5 lbs. I think it weights in right about average for a BMX bike.

is it easy to replace the bottom bracket on this bike? And im going to replace the bars because im a taller dude, will I be able to remove the grips from the bars easily?
BEST ANSWER:Hi Bob! With the correct tools it will be easy to switch out the bottom bracket. That said, this bike should be worked on by a licensed tech, or you will void any warranty... and could cause injury. Just make sure you know what you are doing.

BEST ANSWER:Your spokes are probably loose and you need to bring it into a bike shop to have the proper adjustments done to the bike. You working on your own bike will cause the warranty to become void

It happens to a lot of bikes. My sapient , had the same problem. I tightened the back Hub a few times, but it kept coming loose and I just had to get a new rim set.
BEST ANSWER:Honestly man this was a great bike but if I were you I would look for something with a 14mm rear axel I bent an axel and since this bike has a 12mm axel it was gunna cost more to replace im not sure what to recommend for under 150 but if you want something that will also not be too expensive for repairs in the future I would look at something different

The Sapient Lumino Pro is not a bike for jumping or tricks. it is meant to go from Point A to point B. If you are looking for a bike for all types of riding, i would go with the Sapient SAGA
