is there any aluminum on the frame or parts?
A shopper on Sep 27, 2018
BEST ANSWER: Hey,
There are some components that are aluminum alloy (like the rims), but the frame and fork are both steel.
can i heavily abuse it at a stuntpark?
A shopper on Sep 25, 2018
BEST ANSWER: Hey,
This bike is designed for cruising around the neighborhood and entry-level skatepark tricks. If you are past the beginner stage of BMX, I recommend a more robust bike that is designed for heavy abuse. I recommend checking out the Subrosa Salvador if you're more of an intermediate rider.
is this a masterlink chain?
A shopper on Sep 24, 2018
BEST ANSWER: Hey,
No, this bike comes with a standard 1/8in chain. Hardly any BMX bikes will come with a chain that has a masterlink. Though you probably could get a chain with a masterlink and put it on this bike.
Do the handlebars have caps at the ends?
A shopper on Sep 21, 2018
BEST ANSWER: Hey,
The grips on this bike are closed-end grips, so the grip itself will cover the ends of the bars. There are no end caps. If you wanted to get new grips, you could get a set of lock-on grips that do come with end caps.
Are the rims single or double wall?
A shopper on Sep 21, 2018
BEST ANSWER: Hey,
The Framed x Yankees Team BMX Bike has single wall rims.
What are unsealed hubs and bottom brackets?
A shopper on Sep 21, 2018
BEST ANSWER: Hey,
The hubs are the part in the middle of the wheel that actually allows the wheel to spin. The bottom bracket is the piece in the middle of the crank (where you pedal) that allows the crank arms to spin easily, which allows you to pedal without a ton of friction. A sealed hub or bottom bracket will keep dust, dirt, mud, and other particles out of the bearings inside of the hub or bottom bracket better than an unsealed one would. For people who aren't riding on a lot of dirt or through mud, unsealed hubs/bottom brackets are usually just fine and are much less expensive to build/purchase than sealed ones. If you would rather get a bike with sealed hubs, you can take a look at the Framed Witness (https://www.the-house.com/search.html?keywords=framed+witness).
how many spacers are on the bike?
A shopper on Sep 19, 2018
BEST ANSWER: Hey,
There is only one of the 10mm stacker ones, and it also has a couple little washers/spacers down below.
Does it come build or do I have to build it ?
A shopper on Aug 19, 2018
BEST ANSWER: Hello,
All complete bikes are sold and delivered partially assembled. Final assembly should be done by a qualified bike technician. Failure to have the bike assembled by a qualified technician may void the warranty and could result in damage and/or injury if not assembled correctly. Essentially, the bike comes put together with the exception of the pedals, handlebars, seat, and front wheel. However, the bike will not come tuned and the wheels may not be trued.
