Description: Framed Rodez Disc Carbon Road Bike - Rival 22 & Alloy Wheels

Built for anything you want to throw at it, in any weather, the new Rodez is there for you. Forget swapping out bikes every time the weather turns nasty. The new Rodez was designed for the ride, regardless of where that may take you.

The all carbon frame and fork provide the comfort. The Avid BB7-S road disc brakes provide ample stopping power to keep you safe. Standard Alex Draw 2.1 rims, and Maxxis Re-Fuse 25mm tires take the bite out of bad pavement, and open up new roads to exploration.
Utilizing a tough and reliable SRAM Rival 11 speed drivetrain, the Rodez is built to last. Rest assured, the 50/34 FSA Gossamer crank paired with an 11-26 SRAM PG-1130 rear cassette will tackle any hill you run into, without running out of gas.

Sram Rival 22 - Why settle for a drivetrain that is a trickle-down version of what the pros ride when there's a new group that gives 100 percent of what you demand? The Rival 22 group offers comfortable textured levers, precision focused shifting, and an excellent combination of lightweight and durability. Whether you ride road, gravel, or cyclocross, Rival 22 is a group for every need.

Alex Draw 2.1 Wheelset - Consistent performance is important when you're out on a ride. You want your equipment to perform well every time you challenge it. That's exactly the type of performance you'll get with the Alex Draw 2.1 wheelset. Handbuilt in St. Paul, MN, Framed Novatec hubs are at the center of this tubeless ready all-arounder wheelset. The durability of the 32 spoke Alex 2.1 Draw rim makes this wheelset ideal for road and gravel riding. The Draw 2.1 rims are asymmetric which means spoke angles are optimized preventing broken spokes and undue tension variances. Wherever you're headed, the Alex Draw 2.1 wheelset will get you there and back, without question.

SOLID: bang for your buck!
This bike is outstanding! Full carbon and lightweight. Compared to other carbon road bikes i've ridden in the past this thing feels more solid on some rougher conditions and out of the saddle on climbs.

Stock with the new standard of 25mm tires, its the best rolling resistance/stability i've gotten out of a high-end bike.

This also was the first road bike i've ridden with disc brakes and after a good rain this had the stopping abilities that I was hoping for.

Lastly, the geometry is perfect. the stability and confidence with hands on the hoods makes for an amazingly comfortable yet aggressive ride.

sizing 57 and I am 6'1"

spark notes:
amazing feel and features from an outstanding bike and price tag

Killer Mid-Level Bike
It looks to take a bit of a cue from their trail riding bikes, with an affordable take on a mid-level performance carbon bike. The carbon framed Rodez is their first foray, starting off with a disc brake bike aimed at the type of rider who might already have a fat bike, but is looking to get around a bit quicker on the hard surfaces. Additional customization should let you swap in some upgrades as needed on the complete bike. As it stands here though, the Rodez will set you back just $1700, making it a pretty solid deal for the fat biker looking to hit the asphalt.

Very happy with this bike
This is my first road bike. My other bike is a Trek 820 MTB so in comparison this CF bike is amazingly light. This is also my first bike with disc brakes which I absolutely love. I put 80 miles on this bike the first week I had it and it is everything I was hoping for. I bought it on sale for $1,149 which is a steal for a bike like this.

Are Framed frames built in the USA?
A shopper on Jul 2, 2016
I apologize for the delay. I spoke to the Framed guys, and their Rodez bike frames are manufactured in China (or Taiwan). The basic materials are sent back to St. Paul, and the bikes are assembled here.
What's the maximum width tires on the stock rims?
A shopper on May 27, 2016
The frame and fork can only accommodate up to a 28mm slick road tire. The rims are not the limiting factor on this bike.
Counting family and close friends, we have eight men and two (women (6') that are 6'3"-6'6". When might the XXL frames be in the works? Currently riding a Mn.3 with uncut Bluto fork, Thudbuster post at max.
A shopper on Jul 24, 2016
BEST ANSWER: 57cm (XL) is the largest Framed Rodez Carbon Rival Bike size. The 57cm has a suggested rider height of 5'11"-6'3".
Is this bike available with hydraulic brakes?
Brian M on May 28, 2016
This Rodez Cabon bike is compatible to some Hydraulic brake systems, but Framed does not currently offer the bike with one.
What is max weight bike can support?
A shopper on Oct 2, 2016
From our Bike Shop: Safe rider weight support is determined the way the bike is used, the terrain ridden, the additional frame accessories used, and the speed at which the bike is ridden in combination with the above factors. There are too many variables in play to specify an exact rider weight limit for this bike. Please reach out to Framed Bikes customer service directly to talk about your specific application of the bike to better gauge if this bike is safe for use.
What does this bike weigh in pounds?
A shopper on Sep 14, 2016
I checked with Framed, and they say right around 18 lbs.
