Description: Minnesota 2.2 Fat Bike - Womens

Introducing the new and incredible women''s-specific Minnesota 2.2 fat bike. We took the most popular women’s specific fat bike in the line-up and made it even better! We added the ability to change out the standard Alloy fork with other options to further suit your riding style and conditions. Lighten up your ride by adding our EFBE Approved Carbon fork for a stiffer and lively front end response or add a suspension fork by RST or Rock Shox adding a new element of control and comfort for trail riding!

So what makes it so female specific? For starters, the women’s specific 15" or 17" frame with lower stand over makes for the ultimate in comfort and stability. Second, a shorter handlebar length to give you that ergonomically correct positioning. The saddle is the Velo Plush Women''s specific saddle, designed for performance rides with comfort. Solid Bike, could use a few upgrades
Overall, the Minnesota 2.2 is a fantastic bike. Component's are solid for the price point and the added addition of a front shock is a definite requirement, especially if single track, technical trails are going to be your norm. I would say the only true negative on this bike is the braking. The brakes that come with the 2.2 are absolutely sub-par for a bike with the weight and tire size that is being pushed. We immediately swapped these mechanical brakes out with a solid pair of hydraulics. For a shorter women, or a women with a shorter torso overall, the bikes handle bar/stem configuration may work well. However, it is something else we swapped out for my wife, and went with a 80mm stem and wider handle bars. Last but not least peddles. The ones that come stock with this bike are adequate for basic riding. Always a preference, but upgrading is highly recommended.

Is only difference between 2 and 2.2 tapered headset?
mike p on Sep 5, 2015
BEST ANSWER: Mike,
yea... the tapered headset... it allows a lot more options!
Any way to attach fenders and rack? Looking for a winter commuter as well as just plain fun ride.
A shopper on Aug 31, 2015
BEST ANSWER: Good Day,
And excellent question! There are loads of aftermarket fenders and racks that will be compatible to these bikes. For fenders... we offer some simple utilitarian ones: http://www.the-house.com/fat-bike-fenders.html There are also some excellently stylish ones too! Basically any frame mount or post mount racks designed for fatbikes will work here. http://www.the-house.com/bike-racks.html The 2.2 is a sweet bike choice, and either the guys at Framed or our bike shop can discuss different options with you!! 1 (800) 409-7669.
Fattie Slims choices same as those for 1's & 2's?
mike p on Aug 28, 2015
BEST ANSWER: The options are the same. The actual wheel-sets are different:

A 29er+ is being created.
Is the 15 women's frame the same as the men's frames other than size? Unfortunately I have the inseam of a hobbit and need a 15" frame, but not in a fan of the seat and colors, What are the chances of getting a 15 frame with the men's components?
Erik B on Jul 20, 2015
BEST ANSWER: Good Day Erik,
You ask a good, but complicated question. First, we receive these bikes from Framed as complete sets... which becomes tough to mix and match. We do offer the Alaskan Alloy bike is a 15" frame (sweet bike!!) http://www.the-house.com/qfralkacfr1515zz-framed-bikes.html We also offer the Minnesota 1.0 in a 15" frame: http://www.the-house.com/qfrmin115br15zz-framed-bikes.html (I own and love this one). As far as adjusting a Women's 2.2 you would need to have a conversation with our bike shop: 1 (800) 409-7669 they can help!!!
